How to Check If a Journal Is Indexed in Scopus

As a researcher, you always require to publish your papers in academic peer-reviewed journals. You should select a journal in your research area and it is better to be indexed in major indexing databases like Scopus, PubMed, Science Citation Index Expanded, Directory of Open Access Journals, Emerging Sources Citation Index, and so forth. Recently, it was found that some journals claim to be included in major databases, while they are not, to attract authors’ submissions. In this article, we will show you how to check if the journal is indexed in Scopus.

What Is Scopus? Why Is It Important?

Scopus is one of the major indexing databases for peer-reviewed literature: scientific journals, books, and conference proceedings. It covers the scientific output in all fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities.

Selecting a journal that is indexed in Scopus is important since many universities and institutions prefer Scopus-indexed journals when they are promoting their affiliated academics.
